Why We Chose This
Most scratching posts fall short, literally. At 33.5", this vertical scratcher is tall enough for a large cat to extend, which sets it apart from most other vertical cardboard scratchers. The L-shape covers both upright and horizontal scratching. It leans against a wall (no mounting required), which makes it easy to position directly next to or on furniture a cat is already scratching to provide an alternative. Proximity to the target surface is one of the most effective ways to redirect scratching behavior. Dense fine-grain cardboard reduces the loose debris typical of standard corrugated scratchers.
