100% Merino wool, handmade in Nepal. A fully enclosed cave built around cats' instinctive need for a secure, contained retreat.
Why We Chose This
Cats seek enclosed spaces as a stress-coping mechanism. Access to hiding places reduces fear and stress responses. This cave delivers that without synthetic materials. OEKO-TEX 100 and GOTS certified, azo-free dyes. Large enough for cats up to 20lbs or two cats. Hand-washable.
Product Care
The cave arrives bundled for shipping. To help restore its shape, a hand steamer works. Your cat won't necessarily mind the wrinkles, but if you do (see unboxed and after steam photos). Clean with a vacuum or lint roller for debris and hair removal. Hand-wash for a deeper clean.
Good For
Made Of
Both of my cats love this, particularly my younger cat who is more anxious by nature. The cave seems to soothe his nerves.
