Why We Chose This
The salmon comes from Alaska's only tribal reserve Metlakatla, the Ts'msyen (Tsimshian) community on Annette Island, then frozen and freeze-dried at the source by Annette Island Packing Co., which has operated for 100+ years. The hyper-local supply chain enables transparency and traceability from catch-through-packaging and supports the local Metlakatla economy. This single-ingredient treat with salmon's natural oil content is a strong palatability driver for cats. We tested it both dry and soaked briefly in water. Our cats enjoyed it both ways, with the smell and texture of the soaked pieces getting the strongest reaction. Depending on your cat's size and preferences, you can break the treats into smaller pieces as a reward or meal topper.
